Tucked into the hills just outside Carvoeiro and Lagoa, Quinta dos Santos is one of those rare finds that instantly makes you wonder, how have I never been here before?! From the moment we pulled in, I knew we were in for something special… and I was already mentally planning our return before the first sip of wine.
We didn’t get to do the full lunch or dinner experience this time (next time for sure), but we came for a late afternoon tasting and some light bites… and wow. Every single detail, from the architecture and interiors (seriously, I want to move in) to the views across the vines, felt elevated, relaxed, and effortlessly beautiful.
The team at Quinta dos Santos was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. The wines were crisp, balanced, and easy to fall in love with, and paired perfectly with the beautiful setting and breeze. But let me tell you what really blew us away: the focaccia.
Yes, the focaccia deserves its own paragraph. I’m not exaggerating when I say it was the best focaccia I’ve ever had. Warm, soft, perfectly cheesy, and packed with flavor. We even considered ordering a second one, just for the road. If you go (and you should), don’t leave without trying it.
